The Isle Abbotts Railway has been developed with the help of local residents over the last eighteen years, and is now around 1200 metres long. It is built to a gauge of 7¼ in and has a variety of rolling stock and motive power. It is not open to the public on a regular basis, although open days are organised from time to time, usually to coincide with village fund raising events.
